Frequently asked questions

Everything about how courses work, what membership includes, and how our preview-first, no-refund purchase policy protects your decision.

Courses & pathways

How do the courses work?

Every course is self-paced and delivered as a series of written lessons with a short inspiring intro sequence, therapist tips, teaching illustrations, try-it-today scripts and printable worksheets.

You move at your own speed, on any device, and return as often as you like. Nothing expires and nothing unlocks on a drip schedule.

What does a course cost, and what is a pathway?

Individual courses are $99 one-time. A Complete Learning Pathway bundles all six courses in a topic area for $349 one-time — a substantial saving over buying each course separately.

Pathway purchases are paid in full. There is no monthly option for pathways or individual courses.

Do I get lifetime access?

Yes. Courses and pathways you purchase are yours to keep, including future updates to the lessons and worksheets in that course.

Are there quizzes, certificates or workbooks to complete?

No. Thrive is not a testing platform. There are no quizzes and no certificates. The learning is in the lessons, the reflection prompts and the printables you actually use with your family.

What ages are the courses for?

Content is written for parents and caregivers of elementary through high-school-age children and teens, roughly ages 5 to 18. The Mental Health First Aid pathway is specifically designed around teens aged 13 to 18.

Previews & purchasing

Can I see inside a course before I buy?

Yes — and we strongly encourage it. Every course has a full preview page showing the complete module and lesson outline, sample lesson content, the printable worksheets included, and the resource handout you receive at the end.

The Free Learning Hub and the free Calm Parent Starter Kit also let you experience the exact lesson format, tone and quality before spending anything.

Do you offer refunds?

No. There are no refunds at any time on any purchase. Because course content is previewed in depth before purchase — outlines, sample lessons, printables and a complete free mini course — you can make a fully informed decision first.

If you have any question at all about whether a course is right for your family, please email us before you buy and we will answer honestly.

What if I purchased the wrong course?

Contact us within 7 days of purchase, before accessing more than the first lesson, and we will move your purchase to a different course or credit it toward a pathway of equal or greater value. This is a one-time courtesy exchange, not a refund.

Do you have coupons?

Occasionally. Valid coupon codes can be entered at checkout. Coupons cannot be applied retroactively to a completed purchase.

Thrive Essentials membership

What is included in Thrive Essentials?

Thrive Essentials is $39 per month and gives you ongoing premium parenting resources: the full printable resource library, new monthly worksheets and tools, member-only guides, and expanded Thrive Concierge access.

Thrive Essentials never includes access to premium courses or pathways. Courses are always purchased and owned separately.

Is there an annual membership?

No. Membership is monthly only, so you are never locked into a long commitment.

How do I cancel?

Cancel any time from your dashboard. Your membership stays active until the end of the current billing period, and you are not charged again. Membership payments already made are not refunded.

Worksheets, tools & Thrive Concierge

How do the printable worksheets work?

Worksheets are generated as professionally designed PDFs you download and print at home. They are formatted for standard letter and A4 paper and are designed to be used with your child, not filed away.

What is the Thrive Concierge?

It is an AI-powered educational companion trained on Thrive's evidence-informed material. It helps you apply what you are learning to your own situation, with strict safety guardrails and immediate crisis-resource escalation when needed.

It is educational support only. It is not therapy, diagnosis, or crisis care.

Is the teen companion safe for my child to use?

The teen companion in the Mental Health First Aid pathway is built with age-appropriate guardrails, refuses to give clinical advice, and escalates to local crisis lines in the UK, US and Canada when risk language appears. We still recommend teens use it with a trusted adult aware.

Still deciding?

Start with the free Calm Parent Starter Kit. It is the same lesson format, tone and printable quality as every paid course — so you know exactly what you are buying.
