Certified Teacher & Psychotherapist

Bring professional, evidence-informed parenting support out of the therapy room and into your home.

Thrive Family Co. was founded by Sian Trombley, a certified teacher and registered psychotherapist with years of experience supporting children, teenagers and families — in clinical practice, in schools, and in the everyday spaces where family life actually unfolds.

Every course, tool and lesson is grounded in what actually helps: warm authority, nervous-system-informed strategies, and a deep respect for the parent–child relationship.

How Sian works

Three commitments behind every lesson

01

Warm authority

Kind and clear are not opposites. Children settle when the adult beside them is both.

02

Small, repeatable steps

Nothing here asks for a perfect parent. It asks for one different response, practised often.

03

Evidence, in plain language

Real clinical frameworks — stripped of jargon and shaped for a Tuesday evening at 6pm.

Credentials

Professional background

Clinical training, classroom experience and family work — the three lenses every Thrive course is written through.

Registered psychotherapist

MACP, CCC — clinical practice with children, teenagers and parents navigating anxiety, big feelings and family stress.

Certified teacher & school counselling

Years inside classrooms and school support teams, where learning, behaviour and wellbeing meet in real time.

Work with children, teens & families

Individual, sibling and whole-family work — from early elementary right through the adolescent years.

Evidence-informed frameworks

CBT, exposure-based practice, emotion coaching and collaborative problem solving, translated into plain language.

Attachment-based approaches

Connection before correction — protecting the parent–child relationship while the hard skills are built.

Nervous-system informed

Regulation first. Every strategy respects what a stressed brain and body can actually do in the moment.

A note to you

"Children don't need parents who know everything. They need parents who keep learning, keep showing up, and keep believing that small moments can change a family's story."
