Course overview
Inside this course
Natural consequences are one of the most misunderstood tools in parenting. Used well, they are the difference between a child who learns and a child who resents. This course teaches you the distinction between natural, logical and punitive consequences, when to let each unfold, and how to hold the line without adding a lecture.
Learning outcomes
You'll finish with
- Distinguish natural, logical and punitive consequences
- Choose when to let a natural consequence unfold
- Design logical consequences that connect to the behaviour
- Retire consequences that shame or isolate
