What a family meeting is

A family meeting doesn't need an agenda, a whiteboard or everyone in a good mood.

It needs enough structure for everyone to know why they're there, and enough space for everyone to have a voice. Thrive Family Meetings are short conversation guides written by a therapist for real family life. Most take about fifteen minutes.

Choose the conversation your family needs today, gather somewhere comfortable and begin. The goal isn't to solve everything. It's to leave understanding one another a little better than you did before.

Family Meetings are psychoeducational family tools. They can help a household talk more easily and may make difficult subjects easier to raise, but they are not therapy, treatment or a substitute for professional care.
